Description: Riparian and Wetland Setbacks Overlay (dataset 1 of 2, Riparian Waterways)Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme - www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/mbrcplanningscheme/This dataset was created in September 2015, after Public Consultation 2. It is a revised waterway network which excludes many of the intermittent and ephemeral channels that were included originally from the State MSES Drainage Lines Version 4.This layer is based on the Streams Dataset provided by DWCP from Councils Regional Floodplain Database (being the most accurate and up to date dataset). The Streams are then assigned a Hierarchy based on what is mapped in a different streams dataset provided by BMT (A12783089) where:Stream order 5 & 6 = W1Stream order 3 & 4 = W2Stream order 1 & 2 = W3After this process the dataset was cleaned up manually by removing streams less than 40m length, remove piped sections, identify concrete channels for visual assesment and removal, and manually correct some misalignments using 2014 Aerial Imagery.Standard Overlay Attribute Fields have been added as part of the Queensland Planning Provisions Guidelines Ver 4: www.dsdip.qld.gov.au/statewide-planning/queensland-planning-provisions.htmlThese include:LGA_CODE (based on cadastre supplied by DNRM)5010CAT_DESC (describe a category for the overlay, existing or unique)Environment CategoryOVL_CAT (specify a three letter code for the overlay category, existing or unique)ENVOVL2_DESC (describe the new identified theme)W1 - WaterwayW2 - WaterwayW3 - WaterwayOVL2_CAT (specify a new seven character unique code for the theme)ENV_W1ENV_W2ENV_W3

Description: Riparian and Wetland Setbacks Overlay (dataset 2 of 2, Riparian and Wetland Setbacks) - Version Effective 20 June 2016Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme - www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/mbrcplanningscheme/All Buffers and Wetlands within North Lakes or Caboolture West Local Plan have been erased from this dataset.Buffer ComponentThis maps the following:50m Setback buffer from W1 Waterway30m Setback buffer from W2 Waterway20m Setback buffer from W3 Waterway50m Setback buffer from Wetlands100m Setback buffer from Ramsar WetlandsSetback buffer is required to be measured from top of bank, not from stream centreline. To achieve this a series of selections was used to include mapped waterholes and river width extent using polygons from a dataset maintained by DWCP (M12_Waterbodies_Rivers_Creeks_2013) the waterbodies were included with stream centrelines in the buffers for each scenario, 20m, 30m, 50m. Some waterbodies were manually excluded, such as those large ponds near extractive industry (Ningi, Brendale, Petrie) which are not naturally part of drainage network, also canal estate polygons were excluded. These polygons are then buffered along with the corresponding centreline to achive a very close top of bank approximation.Wetlands ComponentThe Wetlands dataset has been created as part of the Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) Strategy. Wetlands component of the Environmental Areas and Corridors Overlay Map is sourced from State Mapping, with the exception of one Wetland at 399 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook (3RP912058), which was added by MBRC Environmental Planning.Wetlands are extracted from the Matters of State environmental significance - Version 4 (Aug 2014) Spatial Dataset, Category: MSES - ’High Ecological Significance’ wetlands (HES). (Query: "M2_1" = 'HES wetlands')State Metadata for this data source is: http://qldspatial.information.qld.gov.au/catalogue/custom/search.page?q=%22Matters%20of%20State%20environmental%20significance%22More information about matters of state environmental significance in land use planning and development assessment: www.ehp.qld.gov.au/land/natural-resource/method-mapping-mses.htmlThese State Wetlands were geoprocessed using the following steps:Wetland at Donnybrook added to MSESv4 HES WetlandsClipped to the extent of the most recent version of Class 1 and Class 2 (07 Nov 2014)DissolvedMultipart to SinglepartSelected (data cleansing step) using following query: Shape_Area>200 AND (Shape_Area > Shape_Length)Wetlands that are mapped in Seawater were manually put in with limit of 100m from coastlineRamsar Wetlands were added manually where, within 100m of coastline and where not allready covered by State Wetlands. Effecively adding additional wetland mapping as a 100m buffer along most of coastline of northern MBRC with large patches in Ningi and Elimbah Creek. Generally not mapped on land, however the 100m buffer from the Ramsar Wetlands does affect land so it is important to show the wetland in context of the buffer it creates. Description: This dataset reflects the boundaries of claimant and nonclaimant native title applications that have been determined in part or in full, together with attribution about that determination. This dataset is stored nationally. The National Native Title Register (s192, Native Title Act, Commonwealth), is a register containing information about each determination of native title by the Federal or High Court or by a recognized State or Territory body. Determinations are categorized by both process and outcome. Process will be by consent, litigation or unopposed. Outcome will be that native title will have been found to exist in full or part, or been extinguished. Those determinations subject to appeal are also noted.
Description: Environmental Areas Overlay (dataset 1 of 2, Environmental Areas) - Version Effective 20 June 2016Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme - www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/mbrcplanningscheme/Scheme Amendments:Minor Scheme Amendment 1 effective 20 June 2016 - There were numerous methodology changes to what constitutes MLES in this amendment changing MLES mapping extensively, documented in minor amendments changes documentation (qA1303083). Current methodology is documented below, for methodology supporting the first version of adopted Environmental Areas mapping refer to the original OM_Enviro_Areas dataset Metadata.MSES - Matters of State Environmental SignificanceThis is composed of the combined values in State dataset Matters of State environmental significance -version4_1- Queensland found here:http://qldspatial.information.qld.gov.au/catalogue/custom/search.page?q=MSESFurther any values which no longer exist (through recent clearing & development) through ground truthing and desktop analysis have been removed. Spatial files that represent these areas are saved in following datasets (see their respective Metadata for more information):MAINT_GIN_Class1ManualRemoveMAINT_GIN_Class2ManualRemoveMinor Scheme Ammendment 1 Manual Removes by AP (See scheme amendments statement above)MLES - Matters of Local Environmental SignificanceIs now composed of the following four layers:Biodiversity planning assessments (Version 3.5)Shorebird HabitatLocal Plan Green Networks (Narangba East, Morayfield South, Joyner, where cleared areas were manually removed by AP)Covenants (Mostly from DCDB where Environmental some VCAs)Further any values which no longer exist (through recent clearing & development) through ground truthing and desktop analysis have been removed. Spatial files that represent these areas are saved in following datasets (see their respective Metadata for more information):MAINT_GIN_Class1ManualRemoveMAINT_GIN_Class2ManualRemoveMinor Scheme Ammendment 1 Manual Removes by AP (See scheme amendments statement above)MLES - WetlandsCurrently in this version only includes one wetland at 399 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook (3RP912058), which was added by MBRC Environmental Planning. further MLES Wetlands to be added after internal review at a later date in a later planning scheme ammendment.MSES - Koala OffsetsThis is the former Class 2b, which generally maps SPRP High and Medium Value Koala Rehab, this mapping is however based on a cleaned dataset which removes illogical mapping from recent development areas and also takes into acount manual edits where mapping was cleaned up, see references above (same manual ammendment documentation and spatial datasets).MLES Waterway Buffer(This overlaps some of the categories above)The buffer is based on the OM_Riparian_Waterways dataset. The waterway corridors in Overlay Map are centrlelines so do not take into account the distance from stream centreline to top of bank of rivers, from which the buffer is to be calculated. Some rivers and creeks have significant waterholes, which are not represented in the stream centrelines. The Trigger area aims to map the Buffered extents from the edge of the river banks and from the edge of waterholes, as opposed from the mapped stream centreline. To achieve this a series of selections was used to include mapped waterholes and river width extent using polygons from a dataset maintained by DWCP (M12_Waterbodies_Rivers_Creeks_2013) the waterbodies were included with stream centrelines in the buffers for each scenario, 20m, 40m, 100m. Some waterbodies were manually excluded, such as those large ponds near extractive industry (Ningi, Brendale, Petrie) which are not naturally part of drainage network, also canal estate polygons were excluded.Buffer widths are as follows:W1 - 100m BufferW2 - 40m BufferW3 - 20m BufferMLES - Wetland BufferThis is a 100m buffer from MLES - Wetlands, it does not include any wetlands covered by MSES mapping as these are considered state interest. The initial driver for mapping in this overlay came from the Green Infrastructure Network strategy, see report here for background information:https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/uploadedFiles/moretonbay/development/planning/Green-Infrastructure-Strategy-2012-2031.pdf===================================Standard Overlay Attribute Fields have been added as part of the Queensland Planning Provisions Guidelines Ver 4: www.dsdip.qld.gov.au/statewide-planning/queensland-planning-provisions.htmlThese include:LGA_CODE (based on cadastre supplied by DNRM)5010CAT_DESC (describe a category for the overlay, existing or unique)Environment CategoryOVL_CAT (specify a three letter code for the overlay category, existing or unique)ENVOVL2_DESC (describe the new identified theme)MSES - Matters of State Environmental SignificanceMLES - Matters of Local Environmental SignificanceMLES - WetlandsMSES - Koala OffsetsMLES Waterway BufferMLES - Wetland BufferOVL2_CAT (specify a new seven character unique code for the theme)ENV_MSEENV_MLEENV_LWLENV_KOFENV_LWBENV_WLB
