Description: Riparian and Wetland Setbacks Overlay (dataset 2 of 2, Riparian and Wetland Setbacks) - Version Effective 20 June 2016Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme - www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/mbrcplanningscheme/All Buffers and Wetlands within North Lakes or Caboolture West Local Plan have been erased from this dataset.Buffer ComponentThis maps the following:50m Setback buffer from W1 Waterway30m Setback buffer from W2 Waterway20m Setback buffer from W3 Waterway50m Setback buffer from Wetlands100m Setback buffer from Ramsar WetlandsSetback buffer is required to be measured from top of bank, not from stream centreline. To achieve this a series of selections was used to include mapped waterholes and river width extent using polygons from a dataset maintained by DWCP (M12_Waterbodies_Rivers_Creeks_2013) the waterbodies were included with stream centrelines in the buffers for each scenario, 20m, 30m, 50m. Some waterbodies were manually excluded, such as those large ponds near extractive industry (Ningi, Brendale, Petrie) which are not naturally part of drainage network, also canal estate polygons were excluded. These polygons are then buffered along with the corresponding centreline to achive a very close top of bank approximation.Wetlands ComponentThe Wetlands dataset has been created as part of the Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) Strategy. Wetlands component of the Environmental Areas and Corridors Overlay Map is sourced from State Mapping, with the exception of one Wetland at 399 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook (3RP912058), which was added by MBRC Environmental Planning.Wetlands are extracted from the Matters of State environmental significance - Version 4 (Aug 2014) Spatial Dataset, Category: MSES - ’High Ecological Significance’ wetlands (HES). (Query: "M2_1" = 'HES wetlands')State Metadata for this data source is: http://qldspatial.information.qld.gov.au/catalogue/custom/search.page?q=%22Matters%20of%20State%20environmental%20significance%22More information about matters of state environmental significance in land use planning and development assessment: www.ehp.qld.gov.au/land/natural-resource/method-mapping-mses.htmlThese State Wetlands were geoprocessed using the following steps:Wetland at Donnybrook added to MSESv4 HES WetlandsClipped to the extent of the most recent version of Class 1 and Class 2 (07 Nov 2014)DissolvedMultipart to SinglepartSelected (data cleansing step) using following query: Shape_Area>200 AND (Shape_Area > Shape_Length)Wetlands that are mapped in Seawater were manually put in with limit of 100m from coastlineRamsar Wetlands were added manually where, within 100m of coastline and where not allready covered by State Wetlands. Effecively adding additional wetland mapping as a 100m buffer along most of coastline of northern MBRC with large patches in Ningi and Elimbah Creek. Generally not mapped on land, however the 100m buffer from the Ramsar Wetlands does affect land so it is important to show the wetland in context of the buffer it creates.
